Emma brings over 30 years of extensive experience in the accounting profession, making her the driving force behind base Accountancy, a mother of two and keeper of a variety of animals.

Recognising a gap in the market for a firm that genuinely places its clients at the heart of everything it does, where individuals and businesses are valued personally rather than treated as just another number.

Emma founded base with a clear and client-focused vision. Her depth of knowledge, commitment to excellence, and unwavering work ethic have played a fundamental role in shaping the firm into the success it is today.

Emma works closely with a wide range of clients, including owner-managed businesses, sole traders, partnerships and private individuals.

Her expertise enables her to support clients with every aspect of their financial affairs, with particular strength in family taxation and the broader financial needs of growing businesses.

She is passionate about ensuring clients not only receive accurate and reliable advice, but also feel confident, supported and fully informed at every stage of their journey.

Laura brings a rich and varied career background to her role at base, making her an exceptional addition to our team.

Having transitioned from a career in the private hospital sector to the police force being a mother of two and even contributing to vital aid work in Africa, Laura has honed remarkable organisational and communication skills that serve her well in every endeavour.

At base, Laura is the cornerstone of client relations. She is dedicated to keeping our clients fully informed.

With her quick problem-solving abilities, she adeptly addresses queries and concerns, ensuring that operations run seamlessly and time-efficiently.

Clients find her to be incredibly personable and approachable, creating an environment where they feel comfortable and valued.

Her role allows Emma to concentrate on the financial details, thereby ensuring that our clients enjoy the reassurance and security they seek in their accountancy services. BOOKKEEPER

Cheryl is a dedicated bookkeeper who made a unique transition from her career as a professional chef while looking after her twins.

While honing her culinary skills, she unexpectedly discovered her passion for finance during her training with the International Association of Bookkeepers. This revelation set her on a new path that she wholeheartedly embraced.

With over five years of experience in the bookkeeping industry, Cheryl has become an indispensable member of the team at base.

Her meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills ensure that our clients' financial records are accurately maintained.

Cheryl is committed to providing a warm and approachable service, making it a priority to foster trust and open communication with each client.

Her goal is to create a personalized experience that helps clients feel confident and secure as they entrust us with their financial management.
